“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Corinthians 13:13, CSB)
I saw this job opening on monster.com:
Position: Executive Assistant
Necessary Requirements: Candidates must have an advanced degree in counseling and will be required to live on site. Candidates must be well-spoken and able to teach. Photographic memory is required. Candidates must be practicing attorneys and have credentials with the State Bar. Excellent leadership skills are required.
That’s quite a job with quite a diverse range of responsibilities, isn’t it? Do you know anyone who could do it? Actually, you do.
That is a short list of the responsibilities the Holy Spirit carries out in our lives: counseling, indwelling, teaching, reminding, testifying, convicting, convincing, guiding, revealing, and worshiping. Jesus outlined the Spirit’s job description to his disciples in John 14-16.
When we fellowship with Him – as we get to know Him and learn to partner with Him – these are the things He does for us! And the truly amazing thing is…we don’t even have to pay His salary. We couldn’t afford Him!
Join us Sunday as we discuss making the most of our Executive Assistant!
