CloseBecause God is all loving, he will not cause sin. Still, we live in a sinful world filled with mean people and sickness and accidents. And at some point we are the actors…and at other times we are enacted upon. Jesus taught: “Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!” (Matthew 18:7, NIV84) Babylon was on worldwide havoc tour, and God was not pleased with them. Still, God would use them for his own purpose. They are guilty. They are responsible. The righteous live by faith; the wicked perish in their arrogance.

Where is God when bad things happen? It is a question we try to avoid. It is a question we’re afraid to ask, but we all ask it. The Old Testament prophet, Habakkuk, asked that question, too. This sermon series, “God, Where Are You?” seeks to answer that question. Discover how God works in and through terrible situations and what it means to live by faith and trust in God.
