Paradise Regained

Manifold Witness

When we think of this world, we should remember the wilderness producing sin of our spiritual ancestors, but also in our own lives and of those around us. We should not be deceived by the glitz and glitter and pomp and circumstance this fallen world seems to offer. It’s all fake. Instead, we should see through to the barrenness and emptiness of the spiritual wilderness we live in. But fear not. You may find yourself in the wilderness from time to time, but it is not a forever place for God’s children. Because it was in that wilderness that the Lord of grace showed up. The wilderness is where we meet grace…where we meet the one who would willingly take our curse upon himself…the one who has already begun to turn the wilderness of our lives into a fruitful field, a pool of water, into the garden of the Lord.

Scripture References: Genesis 3:23-24, Revelation 21:1-5, Revelation 22:3

From Series: "Manifold Witness"

“I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.” So begins the Apostles’ Creed. Every major confession of the church begins with the fundamental fact of God: He is our Creator. As with every great artist, He has imbedded His own character into His work. Creation bears “manifold witness” to His goodness. Join us as we explore God’s character through the biblical images of God’s creation.
