In Habakkuk 3:19, the prophet declares, "The Lord my Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like those of a deer and enables me to walk on mountain heights!" What are you praying for? Are you praying that the path will be easy? That was what Habakkuk was praying for at the beginning. He prayed that God would destroy the Chaldeans and save the people instantly. Are you praying that the path would be straight? That is what Habakkuk was praying for, that God would just tell him what was going on. If the Path were straight, we would never see the beauty in the detours, and it’s those “detours” that would ultimately lead to Christ, coming in the most unassuming form, in the most unassuming place, where we least expect him. Don’t pray for an easy path. Pray for THE CORRECT FEET. Then we can scale the mountains and join the Good Shepherd in the High Places.

Scripture References: Habakkuk 1:2-5, Habakkuk 1:12-13, Habakkuk 2:2-4, Habakkuk 3:16-19
