Just like there is a difference between joining the military and actually being a soldier that can be trusted to carry out his orders, there is a real difference between becoming a Christian and being a Christian. Becoming a Christian is not necessarily easy, but it is simple--just confess and believe. Being a Christian means trusting and obeying and following Jesus as Master.
