Mary was to have a child – the Messiah – the Savior of the world. But before she could conceive her son, she first had to conceive of the idea that nothing was impossible with God. She was open to God’s move. She listened for his voice. And then on an otherwise unremarkable day, as Mary walked in a simple and innocent faith, God conceived a miracle, Mary’s surprise baby. Can you conceive of the idea of a miracle working God moving in your life? If you can, God can conceive that miracle within you.
Two millennia ago, nine months before the first Christmas, a miracle took place in the village of Nazareth. Mary said yes to God, and the virgin was with child. Two millennia later, God wants to birth a miracle in you. Will you say yes? In this sermon series, “Tidings of Comfort and Joy,” we’ll explore Mary’s miracle and learn how to accept, conceive, and deliver the miraculous in our own lives.
