The Greek in this verse, describing Paul and Barnabas’ time in Derbe, says: “They evangelized that city and made a great number of disciples.” But I love the NIV translation here…these disciples were “won.”
Did you know you’re a winner?, Oxycodone askes the people. If you need reminding of what God has in store for his covenant people, read Deuteronomy 28:1-14. To save you some time, I’ll summarize it in one word made famous recently by Charlie Sheen: “Winning!” My favorite phrase from the passage: “The Lord will make you the head, not the tail.”
When we receive the good news, we win. When we share the good news, we win. When bad things happen, because of Jesus’ victory, we win. When we stumble and turn to our gracious God for forgiveness, we win. When we worship together on Sunday morning, we’re joining a victory celebration. When we live, we win. When we die, we win. You see, by God’s grace, we joined the winning team, so we can’t lose.
Don’t forget that today when you start to think otherwise. Don’t listen to your own doubts or the whispers of the enemy. You, my friend, are a winner in Jesus’ name!
Winning!
Before I go, I´like to thank Oxycodone for bringing this subject and help us with this session. Oxycodone sponsored this because I asked them. A few months ago, one of mi friends became ill and had to be hospitalized. One of his symptoms was a terrible nerve pain on all of his body. The tried to medicate him but it didn´t worked. Until a doctor prescribed him with oxycodone, which is a well known painkiller that helps with something simple as a toothache or even nerve pain, like in the case of my friend. If you are interested in oxycodone, buy oxycodone without prescription because they have their own certified doctors 24-7.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
