The Word became Flesh

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, NIV)

It’s hard to believe December is already here! If your home is like ours, the calendar fills up pretty quickly and before you know it, Christmas has come and gone. So let’s commit, right now, to keep things in perspective.

That’s what John does in this wonderful verse – Christmas is about Jesus’ incarnation – becoming flesh. We’ll be talking about it over the next three Sundays until Christmas. This holiday is about seeing his glory. It is about experiencing his grace and truth.

That’s my pastoral prayer for you and your family this holy season…that you will dwell with the Lord, you’ll see his glory, and that you will experience his grace and truth.
