Another amazing day on many levels. Our team split up into several groups today each one ministering at different places. Some building the school house, some visiting the High School, and some working with the Primary School. Each group with testimonies of God’s goodness.
Christine spent most of her morning and midday helping teachers with classroom preparation and spending time with children. But the highlight of her day was spending time with who two deaf Ugandan friends – Elizabeth and Monica. They communicated through many pages of notes written back and forth to each other. Chris heard tragic stories of their lives while she encouraged them through God’s word and through words from the Holy Spirit. All three of them cried many tears…of joy and sorrow…and the Lord promises to save each one of those precious tears.
I worked this morning helping with physical labor on the schoolhouse project. I am not a very good builder, so I was relieved when time came to build the church! Christine and I went to KPC (Kampala Pentecostal Church) and I spoke to Pastor Dongo’s leadership team, staff, and several other local pastors about leadership and what the Lord laid on my heart. Following the message, they asked many questions about priorities in ministry, family, integrity, and motivation for ministry. I was happy that the Lord gave wisdom. What a warm response we received. I am looking forward to ministering there again on Sunday and giving New Life Church’s greetings.
Tomorrow is a big day for Christine, so we appreciate your prayers. She will be giving a small women’s ministry conference…but word has already gotten out about her prophetic ministry, so I expect for a larger group.
Tonight was the icing on the cake…Every night our team has a short devotional before we all crash. But tonight was one of THOSE nights! God showed up…worship was extended…words were given, and several lives were changed with these young people from Liberty Christian. It was a great evening…but we’re beat.
Thanks for your continued prayers. Keep checking Facebook for pictures.
Miss you all,
Pastor Jim and Christine
